This lovely Maiogi dance fan came from a well-known Odori dance school in Gion and was probably used by one of the students and stored there for some time.
This fan features a gold-flecked design on a gradated, white-to-coral background with a golden floral Kamon crest and rich, glossy-black, lacquered bamboo struts. It comes in its original box.
It is sturdy and sound with only minor signs of wear on some of the edges and corners -- see photos for details. It looks great and could be used for either dance practice or display.
The first two photos show both sides of the fan -- please examine them carefully before making your purchase to be sure you are happy with the condition of the item.
