Vintage Japanese Geisha Odori ‘Maiogi' Folding Dance Fan Set with Gold Stripes
This lovely set of two Maiogi Dance Fans was made by one of Kyoto’s traditional fan makers for an ‘Odori’ dance studio.
This is a matching set with dramatic gold stripes on a matt backgrounds: one orange and one black. The lacqured bamboo struts are done in a glossy black lacquer finish. They are excelent quality and were probably expensive when new...
We are selliing them as vintage items as they have slight wear from use at the dance school. They are structually sound and look almost new with only a minor wear to the edges and a few creases to the corners. There is a name written in pen in the corner. (see photos). We have taken their quality & condition into consideration in the price. See photos for other details...
They measure about 20” or 52cm from tip to tip when open and is 12” or about 30cm long when closed.

Note that due to reduced flights, JAPAN POST has suspended Air Parcel service to the USA, Australia and a few other countries (Europe is not effected). It is not known how long this will last but in the meantime, we are using JAPAN POST SURFACE mail which has tracking and insurance but can take about 60 days to the USA.
Alternatively, for an additional charge, YAMATO INTERNATIONAL offers extremely fast door to door service for a flat-rate for their various size boxes. The smallest “60cm” box is to most countries, can hold up to two kg and measures 27 X 19 X 19cm and arrives in about a week.
