Vintage 1971 Inter-American Defense College IADC 1973 Zippo Lighter

Description

For your consideration is a vintage zippo lighter. The lighter body is silver and features a the logo for the Inter-American Defense College IADC (Collegium Interamericanum Defensionis) on one side and is engraved 1973 (belonged to a member of the class of 1973 maybe?) on the other side. The IADC is an interesting school that was opened in 1962 and has graduated around 2000 students since it's opening many of which hold very powerful positions in the governments in North, Central, and South America (see the list of distinguished alumni in photo #12). From the date codes on the bottom this lighter is from 1971.
The lighter is pre-owned and does have normal wear from age, use, and storage. Please see pictures for more details. The lighter does not work at the moment but only needs a new flint and lighter fluid to be in working order.
This is a great addition to any collection.
