Rare & highly art deco Goebel Wilhelmsfeld dancer figurine

Absolutely stunning dancer figurine of the art deco period. Made from heavy white porcelain and entirely painted by hand. Her red dress is adorned with ‘leopard fur’ accents. Her dancer posture is very much like the one of many art deco bronze figurines. She is 6½” (16½ cm) high and in excellent vintage condition with no cracks or paint wear. The only flaw we can see is a tiny tip missing from her thumb on her left hand. The thumb is not broken off but it seems to be a bit shorter (see picture). Under the base, there is the mark Goebel printed in green, the letter M for the decorator and the original golden tag Wilhelmsfeld still pasted on. Oeslau Wilhelmsfeld was the place in

where Goebel was founded in 1876. This gorgeous dancer will
