Cardinal Pair Male and Female Hand Carved Wood.
These are the first 2 birds that I carved when I set out to learn how to carve birds a few years ago. I was saving them for sentimental reasons, but I’ve now decided to let them go.
I carved this pair of male and female Cardinals from Tupelo wood, and painted them with acrylic paints. They each have glass eyes, and are pinned and glued to their locust wood base.
Each Cardinal is about 6” long. The birds as mounted on their base are:
~ 8” high
~ 10” wide
~ 6 1/2” deep
