Large antique parian DRESDEN china male doll shoulder head (only) w/glazed ascot

Description

Ready for you to attach to an antique cloth body is this huge, (6 1/2" tall by 6" wide, across top of shoulders narrowing down to 3 1/2" +) fine looking, German, antique parian (unglazed bisque) Dresden china, adult male doll shoulder head by
C. F. KLING & Co.,
circa
1860.
He will make a completed doll of about 24" tall. See detailed description and photos on page 500,

. He has deeply molded and painted, thick blonde (also called
cafe au lait
) hair with brush strokes on both side of his temples, center-parted with hair drawn behind his ears, beautifully
molded upper & lower eyelids
with painted blue irises with white highlights, blond eyebrows, red lid lines and nostrils, handsome smiling mouth with upturned corners and excellent cheek blush. He has a finely molded dress shirt with pleated front and glazed collar and a blue and gold
striped ascot tie around his neck
. He also has
six molded sew holes
denoting an early doll. He is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs, (very faint, short old hairline at the back on one shoulder, which is very difficult to see).
He'll make an excellent companion for some of your large antique china and parian dolls. See last few photos for similar Dresden parian dolls, (not included) and listed separately.
