    Up for consideration I have a powerhead removed from a 1997 40 HP Force outboard. Compression is 150-155 PSI on both cylinders. Removed from a freshwater motor.  I believe this will fit 1995-1999 40/50 HP Force engines. Part of the mounting area for the starter is damaged but it was still fully functional with the lower bracket and other mounting hole. In addition, the nut and bolt with an oversized washed was used around the damaged area to help
    secure
    everything. It worked fine.
