Hello All,
Today we have the WDCC Hitchhiking Ghosts Haunted Mansion Etched Mirror Limited ED!
Given by Disney World only to registered participants of the very first Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics convention in March 1999, this rare Arribas Bros etched mirror shows the three Hitchhiking Ghosts (Phineas Queeg, Gus Gracey and Ezra Dobbins) from the famous Haunted Mansion ride which had its 30 th anniversary in that year and was the theme of the event. Disney Classics issued statues of these Hitchhiking Ghosts and the dangler pin at the same convention. All have become extremely rare.
The etchings on the mirror show the three ghosts framed and there is writing on the bottom which says:
“A Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics”
Walt Disney World March 19-21, 1999
The mirror measures approx 8” wide by 4” tall and has beveled edges. The images on the mirror are very clean and clear
I did my best to take photographs to show the double lines being reflected from the mirror but taking photos of a reflective surface is difficult to say the least.
All photos are of the same item but with different lighting and different angles (I tried my best)
Stored in its original box in mint condition since receiving at the convention, displayed for only a short time in an enclosed display case, not scratched or worn.
Perfect for fans of the Haunted Mansion, WDCC, WDAC conventions and rare Disney collectibles no longer available.
As this was a Members-Only gift
to registered participants of the very first Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics convention in March 1999,
a COA was not included with it for whatever the reason may have been (I did a bit a research on this and found that the "no COA" was about the norm).
This item has only been displayed for a short time and was then carefully packaged back up for storage, it has been displayed and stored in a smoke free environment. We've only taken it out recently to inspect it and take pictures for your bidding pleasure. Unlike Merlin, we don't have a magical bag of holding to store all this really cool stuff that we have, so we are posting them here for you to bid on. This is a rather great find, so get it here while you have the chance.
Also as a note, the original box that the item has been kept in is in very good condition, normal shelf wear but still in very good condition. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me with them.
The utmost care will be considered when shipping, over sized box, packing peanuts and bubble wrap for you to pop when you get it. Shipping will also include insurance up to the price of the item.
I am sorry to say that this is only open to U.S. bidders (yep, I can still ship to Hawaii and Alaska). No International shipping unless through eBay's Global Shipping Program. U.S. Military bases are the exception to this policy.
