Excellent quality! Used to conceal crimp beads, crimp tubes, knots, and directly on to stringing material to cover gaps...also a good solution when jewelry pieces have become stretched over time...no restringing is necessary. Becomes part of the jewelry design.
Allow a minimum of 1-1.5mm clearance on crimps, knots or strand material, (thread, wire, etc.) depending on it's gerth.
EXAMPLE:
4mm crimp cover can go over up to a 2.5 crimp bead, knot or strand material. 3mm covers, up to a 2mm crimp, knot or strand material.
llustration (left) shows how the crimp bead cover is placed around a crimp bead. Gently press the "C" shape of the crimp cover with protected (teflon) tipped pliers until closed.

BEAD COLOR NAME
Manufacturers commonly give a "name" to glass beads based upon familiar colors and/or pattern characteristics of gemstones and crystals. The "name" is not meant to imply the beads contain, or are made of these materials. Genuine gemstones and crystals will always be clearly noted in description.
COLOR INTEGRITY
We are proud to offer a line of glass beads in which 95% of them are pure "colored glass". Manufacturers achieve certain colors and/or effects by "coating" a clear glass bead. We do carry about 2% of these "coated" beads. However, all are top quality.
DARKER COLORS
A "Garnet color" bead has an inherent characteristic of turning almost black when stored without air or light. After shipping, exposure in a "regular" household environment will return them to their true color. This characteristic might apply to other dark colors but consistent in the deep reds.
COLOR CHANGING
There are two beautiful
color changing
beads in a variety of shapes, styles and sizes. The Swarovski® "Cantaloupe" and the Czech "Alexandrite" beads. Their color will change according to their light source. (sunlight, incandescent, fluorescent, etc.) due to a mineral that is added to the glass/crystal. If you have not yet experienced this visual phenomenon...I highly recommend it!
