    Description

    This is a Barbados Local Cover from 1893.  It was sent to Colonnade, Barbados on 2/24/1893.
    The first thing to notice with this great cover is the CROWN CIRCLE in BLACK on the front.  The story here is that this mark was used temporarily when local postage was short.  The mark is very clear and lovely!  It's valued at L100 in the Stanley Gibbons Catalogue!
    There is also a backstamp receiver on the back!
