  • Condition: This doll is in very good condition with a nicely formed and stitched cloth body with some age spots. There is a small tear in one upper leg leaking some sawdust. Her china head, hands, and shoes are intact and in good condition, but with a fine crack in each shoe. There is a small hole in the material at the front of her dress.

    Description

    This lovely 19" antique doll appears to be a "Lowbrow" china head with her black hair styled in waves and a center part. The "Germany" mark on her shoulder plate indicates she was produced anytime from 1840 to 1940. She is dressed in a lovely vintage fashion. She has well-painted features with red eye lid lines, nostrils, and lips, and:
    A sawdust stuffed muslin body.
    China molded hands curved with fingernails.
    China high-top shoes painted brown with green buttons.
    An outfit including a hand-stitched combined chemise and drawers with buttons and lace trim, hand-stitched full length slip with ribbon and lace, and a machine-stitched shirtwaist dress.
    Doll stand not included.
