antique early 20's fired bisque china head blonde girl doll with cloth body

Description

This china head girl is 9" tall.  I believe her body is a newer body, probably re-made for her in the early 6o's.  In very good condition.  The head is perfect, no cracks, chips or crazing.  The black spot on the back of her head is fired in, a maker's defect.    No maker's mark I can find.  These doll heads came with no bodies, but a pattern to make the body for the buyer.  Very popular in the early 20's.  Some bodies were filled with lavendar and other scented plants and used as sachets.  And I have seen some made into pincushions.  Non smoking home.  She has a very faint smell, like she may have been stored with mothballs for a bit.  Not noticable unless you sniff her up very close.
