    Description

    Articulated Brass Fish
This beautiful 8.5" antique articulated brass fish is very much like the one on the cover of Graham Turner's antique fishing tackle reference book.  That particular fish was found on the sunken wreck, the SS Medina.  The ship was torpedoed by a German Submarine in 1917 in the English Channel after coming from Australia, by way of India.  I believe that fish and this one were made in India.  This particular fish differs from the Medina fish in that it has a normal fish tail rather than the spade shaped tail of the Medina fish.
