This one-of-akind doll 4-inch doll is dressed in clothing that would reflect the "Old Country" of an American immigrant.
The face is porcelain with painted features. It would have been purchased by a mother or grandmother and fashioned into a doll with a pin cushion-like body.The apron is gathered below the bodice, the petticoat is blue striped and the head scarf is wrapped in back.
The arms are suggested by hand-stitched balloon sleeves, the shoes appear to be crocheted and have ties that twine around tiny legs.
