    Description

    Used 1985 Mercury 35hp 2 stroke outboard motor twin cylinder powerhead assembly including stator, ignition coils and fuel pump all of which would be good for parts or rebuilding. We are selling this powerhead assembly as untested since this outboard motor was not running prior to being dismantled. The cylinder block is part number 851-7940A6, the powerhead assembly is part number 61779A87 and the bottom crankcase housing has casting number 947-7565. The stator part number is 86617A20, ignition coils part number 339-832757A4 and the fuel pump part number is 76575A9. Compression test results are in the pictures.
    Part numbers are per online parts manuals. We are selling this powerhead assembly as untested since this outboard motor was Not running prior to being dismantled.
    Since these parts are more than 10 years old we suggest to check & change any gaskets and seals and bearings & hoses etc that require attention. This Mercury outboard motor has serial number 7220589 and was assembled in Canada. On line manuals indicate that the 1985 Canadian assembled 35hp Mercury outboards had serial numbers of 7220578 to A710195  and the same model assembled in the USA for 1985 had serial numbers from 66266976 to A904244.
