Studebaker believes that engineering improvements are more important than styling changes that don’t enhance performance. Transistorized ignition is quite an engineering improvement. Ignition is improved at both high and low r.p.m. ranges. Plug and point life is longer. And Studebaker engines retain a better tune longer than ordinary North American cars.
